A Study of Multisensory Cues Evoking Emotions in Virtual Reality
Research Objectives
The objective of this research is to ask for your ratings on a set of videos and sounds.

Significance of the Study
With this research, we will select stimuli to elicit affective states.

Experimental Details
During this online survey, you will watch and listen to videos on a web page from your computer. We recommend you to use Chrome to answer the questions. After each video or audio, you will be asked to answer a few questions about your feelings and the content of the videos and sounds.

Safety
All videos presented are publicly available on the internet, or commercially available. Please make sure you use headphones at an adequate volume level to prevent any discomfort.

Voluntary consent
You may withdraw your consent at any time, even if you have given your consent for the research to be conducted or continued. You will not be treated unfavorably by not consenting to the conduct or continuation of the study or by withdrawing your consent.

Monetary rewards
Each complete participation in the survey will be rewarded with 6.50 dollars.

Discontinuation of the experiment
If you wish to discontinue the experimentin the middle of the experiment, you may do so at any time for any reason.

Publication of results
The experiment results may be published in a paper, but even then, only anonymous data will be disclosed, unless you expressly authorize us to do so.

Handling of Personal Information and Protection of Privacy
After receiving an explanation, you are free to decide whether or not to participate in the study. Even if you consent to participate in this research, you may withdraw your consent at anytime. If you do not participate in this research or withdraw your consent during the course of the study, you will not be disadvantaged in any way.

To participate in this research, you will be asked to provide us with your email that identifies you ("Personal Information"). The Personal Information provided by you as a participant in this research will be replaced with an encrypted number so that you cannot be identified, and this encrypted number will be used when you participate in the study.

The results of this research may be presented at domestic and international conferences, academic journals, etc. However, even in such cases, your personal information will not be disclosed. Only anonymous data will be disclosed, unless you expressly authorize us to disclose it.

We will not use your personal information for any purpose other than this research. We will not provide your personal information to any third party for other research purposes.

You may inspect the research protocol and materials related to the research methodology to the extent that it does not interfere with protecting other participants’ personal information, and the research aims.
